Visual Search Pony
Visual Search Pony does only one thing, but does it nearly perfectly – it scans a folder and discovers all and every duplicate or just similarly looking images in it. The program does more than just a direct bit by bit comparison; it analyzes visual information of a picture and builds a kind of “fingertip” index that not only provides a high-level of accuracy while comparing images, but also allows matching pictures of different sizes, resolution, a level of detail or a picture format. Moreover, it can even find similarities of distorted or modified images. For now, the freeware supports the following file formats: ANI, BMP, GIF, ICO, JPG, PCX, PNG, PNM, RAS, TGA, TIFF, WBMP, XBM, XPM, CR2, TIF, DNG, CRW, NEF, RAW, RAF, X3F, PEF, DCR, KDC, SR2, ARW, MRW, ORF, ERF, 3FR and PPM.
