Project Dogwaffle
Project Dogwaffle is is a high powered, versatile artist's tool for use in natural media painting, video, and animation. Version 3.2 has recently been released, delivering on the promise of high performance, real time tools for the film and media community, as well as artist of all kinds.
Project Dogwaffle isn't designed to be a feature-for-feature match of any other graphics software. It does have a lot of terrific features, but the goal is a program designed for creative individuals who want to get down and dirty with their pixels. The workflow is based around the idea of making pictures, and to that end, we designed the interface around the user. Color mixing is out in the open where you can get to it quickly, not hidden away in a dialog box, and you have your choice of mixers to suit your needs. Brushes can be created on the fly. You can pick up a full color image, or even an animation, and just paint with it. Whenever feasible, our filters were designed to work full-screen, in real-time. There's no waiting to see what you get - you just get it. Even our animation system is designed to work in real-time, so you see what you get without having to build a preview!
